SPEECH PATHOLOGY FOR ALL AGES We see clients from 0-100 years ! Virginia Hill Speech Pathology offers a high level of expertise and experience for adults and children of all ages(including early intervention from birth onwards). We provide therapy for private individuals, plan managed, NDIA managed, PACE, agency managed and self-managed NDIS participants. VIRGINIA HILL SPEECH PATHOLOGY opened in 1979.

OUR BELIEFS AND AIMS VIRGINIA HILL SPEECH PATHOLOGY is an all-inclusive Speech Pathology Practice. We work with people from birth to over 100. We work with every level of disability – from very mild difficulties to extremely complex and extremely severe disabilities. We work with people of every race and religion. We work with people from every educational background and every socioeconomic group. We work with and honour our First Nations people. We honour and work with all members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

TIPS FOR WHEN A SPEECH PATHOLOGY ASSESSMENT IS A REALLY GOOD IDEA AUTISM What to look for: Social awkwardness, Lack of flexibility, Problems with change, Sensory issues, Egocentric in their outlook, Tendency to talk in monologues – not really conversing, Low frustration tolerance, Problems with emotional regulation, Difficulty joining in, fitting in, Lack of empathy, Awkward body language, Poor eye contact, Perfectionism, Being very literal.

Dr. Virginia Hill

MEET VIRGINIA

Virginia has been working in private practice since 1978. After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Flinders University she travelled to New York, where she obtained her Masters’ Degree in Speech Pathology from Columbia University in 1984.

She obtained her PhD from LaTrobe University in 1999.

Virginia is a member of Speech Pathology Australia, and is also a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She regularly attends conferences with ASHA in the USA. She also edits journal articles for the Journal of Learning Disabilities. She is an accredited diagnostician with Autism SA.
